Counting of red blood cells (RBCs) in microscope blood cell images, can give the pathologists valuable information regarding various hematological disorders, like anemia, leukemia,....etc. in several animal species, in this paper, an automated vision system has been developed which is capable of counting of red blood cells, in blood samples by applying different algorithms, based on red blood cellshape, the difference in the red blood cell shape of animal species make it difficult to use a one algorithm, therefore, for each animal species used specific algorithm which was capable of counting of RBCs effectively.
Chest x-ray medical images are widely used for diagnostic purposes for several reasons including it available, attainable and excellent imaging of hard tissues like bones, but there is difficulty in imaging of the soft tissues, moreover the saturated colour of the x-ray image causing intricacy to read it, therefore, turned attention to the colorization process which can be used to transform the grayscale medical images to the colour medical images.
In this paper, a new pseudo-coloring method proposed for colorizing the frontal chest x-ray medical images which are very important for disease detection and recognition. The key idea of this method is applying different and various experimental mathematical equations on the proposed medical sample image, which it belongs to the patient with Hydatid cyst parasite disease in the lung. The counterfeit coloring had intense contribute in enhancing of the visual attractiveness of medical images, the output colored images have a better visual description, it has a possibility to describe hidden information better than a conventional monochromatic image, this is an excellent indicator of the algorithm's suitability for the purpose for which it was formulated.
This paper studies the effect of symmetry process on the compression parameters of the fractal image compression technique proposed by Jacquin. Two kinds of tests have been conducted. The first all kind of the symmetry operations [0-7] were taken; while the second tests were concentrated on studying the effect of the following parameters Block Size,Step Size, Domain Size on the probability distribution of symmetry operation. The results show that the higher value of PSNR and the lower value of ET occur at even symmetry operation only, but compression ratio is not affected with symmetry process. Also the occurrence probability of even symmetry is more than odd symmetry for all compression parameters. This behaviour can be utilized to reduce the encoding time to 50% with preserving PSNR.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
