Exploring the impact of e-learning on a student's math skills was the main objective of this study. The experimental design was applied in this study to 80 students from the calculus course from the first semester in the 2021-2022 academic year at The Hashemite University, where they were divided into two groups, a control group and a experimental group. Three modules of calculus textbook (function, ends, graph curves) were adopted, the traditional whiteboard was used in the teaching of the control group, while e-learning platforms were used to teach the experimental group. A tribal test dish to measure sports skills and a distance test on students. Use SPSS to assess the effects. The experimental group showed superiority over the control group by analyzing the results from the tests applied. Teaching on e-learning platforms (Modal, E-Learning, zoom) has shown effective consequences for the student's sports skills. These results correspond to a set of previous studies that will be presented in this research.
Mathematically proficiency as being described it by five strands: conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, strategic competency, adaptive reasoning (National Research Council, 2001), and. The purpose of this study is to Jordanian mathematics teacher's perception of their professional needs Related to the five Strands of Mathematical Proficiency and to search for the effect of teachers demographic factors on their perceived needs. Participants included (171) teachers with varying qualifications and years of experience teaching at multiple grade levels schools in Jordan. The study uses a 35-item questionnaire to evaluate teachers professional development needs within five Strands of Mathematical Proficiency. The results offer more insight into mathematics teachers' most essential needs in terms of specific knowledge and experience within different categories. This information aids in planning professional development programs and workshops that will meet teachers' needs.
This study, aimed at the effect of using multiple mathematical representations of rational number concept in basic grades students in jordan. The current study employed the content analysis approach to investigate the multiple mathematical representations and transitions among them in 8th Grade Mathematics Textbook. An observation method was used to analyses the teacher practices (n=35 observations), and record the representations and transitions. The results showed that there was an existence of symbol and verbal representations in the textbook and teachers' implementation. Meanwhile, the other three representations (pictures and figures, models and Cutters, and life situations). And This study explored the nature of difficulties of eighth-grade students who struggled to build their conceptual understanding of early fraction ideas. interviews with Pre and post of students were conducted for a sufficient identification of the nature of the students' difficulties. The study revealed The students also minimal use of informal ordering strategies that involve more conceptual than a procedural understanding of the concept of initial fraction ideas.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
