A Arabic, English, mathematics, and information technology (IT) are used in every aspect of modern Islamic society throughout the Arab world. As a result of the increased awareness of the importance of these subjects and their impact on society, they have rapidly become established as part of the curriculum in most modern Arabic universities' undergraduate programs. However, the mere availability of modern Arabic, English, mathematics, and IT courses in universities does not necessarily guarantee that, ultimately, students will become more literate. Instructors must be appropriately trained and willing to change their attitudes toward using the classroom management techniques and teaching methodology demanded by the new learning approach. In partnership with independent thinking and collaborative learning strategies (Khalifa, 2001; Treisman, 1992), courses in Arabic, English, mathematics, and IT can become more challenging, engaging, and meaningful. Because they are so critical for effectively interacting with and competing in the global economy, mathematics, English, and IT are examination subjects for the 16+ levels throughout the developed world (
