PREFACESuch ill reactions as rigor, sudder and pyrexia , which occasionally happen by intravenous injections of distilled water, saline solution and solution of dextrose , cannot be explained only by their chemical uncleanliness . As one such causes, we should think about the fact that microbes mixing(1-4) in injections produce certain pyrogenic substances .Robinson(5) extracted pyrogenic substances from certain microbes . And after his study, the preventing methods from mixing pyrogenic substances into ampule have been studied , and now there are two preventing methods, that is , filtrating method in which solutions of injection are filtered through asbestos, and eliminating method(6) which eliminates the pyrogenic by oxidation with hydrogen peroxide .Isolating bacteria (7-8), which produce pyrogenic substances , from solution of dextrose firstly, we have succeeded to isolate(9) pyrogenic substances from those bacteria: Then we have studied physical and chemical characters of the present pyrogenic substances , and applying these results of our studies , we have found a speedy and simplified method(10)
