This study aims to improve students' mathematical concept understanding skills through the Direct Instruction learning model based on multimedia presentations. This research is an experimental study with a research design of One Group Pretest Posttest Design. The data collection technique used a test of students' mathematical understanding of five questions and data analysis was carried out using prerequisite tests (normality test and homogeneity test) and hypothesis testing (t test). The average understanding of students' mathematical concepts has increased in each item based on the pretest and posttest questions given. It can be concluded that there is an increase in the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts through the Direct Instruction learning model based on multimedia presentations.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
