ABSTRAKKeputusan memilih siswa untuk menuntut ilmu di SMK Sepuluh Nopember salah satunya disebabkan adanya promosi yang dilakukan oleh pihak sekolah dalam menarik minat calon-calon siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh promosi terhadap keputusan siswa dalam memilih sekolah di SMK Sepuluh Nopember. Variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah promosi sekolah sebagai variabel independen dan keputusan memilih sebagai variabel dependen. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa SMK Sepuluh Nopember sebanyak 94 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik stratified proportionate random sampling. Promosi dan keputusan memilih diukur menggunakan skala promosi sekolah dan skala keputusan memilih yang disusun oleh peneliti sendiri. Hasil analisa data dengan menggunakan teknik analisis regresi yang dibantu dengan SPSS 16.0 for windows, diperoleh (t hitung = 3,060; ρ = 0,003; ρ < 0,05), maka hipotesa alternatif diterima yakni ada pengaruh kegiatan promosi sekolah terhadap keputusan siswa memilih sekolah di SMK Sepuluh Nopember. Berdasarkan nilai R square = 0,092 / 9,2% keputusan memilih siswa dipengaruhi oleh kegiatan promosi, sisa prosentase lainnya dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor yang lain. Berdasarkan Nilai korelasi berganda (R) yang diperoleh adalah sebesar 0,304,daritabel dibawah dapat dilihat dimana hal ini menunjukkan bahwa hubungan promosi sekolah terhadap keputusan siswa dalam memilih SMK Sepuluh Nopember Sidoarjo tergolong pada kisaran angka 0,20-0,39 yang berarti bahwa tingkat hubungannya rendah tetapi pasti.
This study aims to formulate problems regarding teacher interpersonal communication in motivating student learning along with what are supporting and inhibiting factors of teacher-student interpersonal communication during the covid-19 pandemic. The research method used is qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. With the techniques of determining the informant using purposive sampling technique. The result showed that the teacher’s role was crucial in interpersonal communication in order to motivate student learning during covid-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors of interpersonal communication between student and teacher were found in the form of technical, physical, semantic, psychological, and social environment factors. The supporting factors themselves are proximity to communication targets, supportive attitude, empathy, teacher self-image, to a positive learning environment.

The purpose of this research to expose the communication process skinhead community in Sidoarjo. This group decision making was to achieve destination and develop a community of Sidoarjo to be skinhead better in solidarity between members. This research used descriptive research method and the type of research was qualitative in-depth interview with data analysis process through three phases namely data reduction, the presentation of the data, the withdrawal of the conclusion. The results of this study indicated that members of the community who always did the Sidoarjo skinhead activities with shared together-especially in decision making towards the group. In this community of skinhead Sidoarjo used horizontal communication. The community of skinhead Sidoarjo had no formal structure, they prefer to be considered all the members have the same social status. Decision making groups of skinhead Sidoarjo used deliberation. Although each group in the decision-making process of deliberation, but also ask for opinions from the more senior or elderly women in community skinhead Sidoarjo.
