This research was meant to describe the manifestations of phatic function in the education domain. The phatic function in the communication and interaction happening in the education domain could be accurately identified when the utterances were not separated from their determining pragmatic context. The context must not be limited only to contextual and social or societal perspectives, but must be defined as basic assumptions. The data of this research included various kinds of speech gathered naturally in education circles that contain phatic functions. Two methods of data gathering were employed in this study, namely listening and conversation methods. Recorded data was analyzed through the steps as follows (1) data were identified based on the discourse markers found (2) data were classified based on the phatic perception criteria; (3) data were interpreted based on the referenced theories; (4) data were described in the form of analysis result description. The research proves that phatic function in the form of small talks in the education domain cannot be separated from the context surrounding it.
The discrepancy of the study of linguistic politeness and impoliteness phenonema has been pronounced in the pragmatic study. However, up to this day the study of linguistic impoliteness, particularly based on culture-specific backgrounds has not been done. This research discusses the pragmatic manifestations of linguistic impoliteness. Through this research, a detailed description of how the manifestations and intentions of the linguistic impoliteness markers would be obtained. The data was gathered by using listening and speaking methods in linguistics. The data gathered through the basic and advanced listening and speaking methods was analyzed by using the equivalence method, particularly the extra-lingual equivalence. The research results showed that the pragmatic impoliteness was classified into five categories, namely (1) face-aggravating, (2) face-loss, (3) faceplaying, (4) face-threatening, (5) deliberate ignorance. Each category of the linguistic impoliteness was described in details in its impoliteness subcategories, each was determined by its pragmatic meanings and intentions.
It is always possible to combine the field of language with other fields which may be irrelevant, but there is a possibility to develop the fields synergistically. Cyberpragmatics can be seen as a transdisciplinary field, because it includes complex dimensions, namely language, pragmatics, technology, media, internet, and possibly other dimensions as well. This article aims to describe contexts in cyberpragmatics. The data was collected from utterances in various domains which contained context entities. The substantive data source was taken from authentic texts in various social media which also contained context. As for the locative data source, it was from social media that could be reached within the time of research. The data was collected by applying listening method and interview method. The researcher also used his intuitive judgment given the fact that he is a native speaker of Indonesian language. The data analysis method applied in this research is distributional analysis method in order to reach the linguistic aspects of this research. The dominant analytical method used is the extralingual type of extralinguistic method of analysis. The analysis showed that various pragmatic contexts were found, which include social context, societal context, cultural context, and situational context. The diverse contexts may change and shift over time. The context of the past cannot be the same as the context of the present and future. The elements and functions of the context will definitely shift and change so that the meaning of speech intentions in cyberpragmatics will also change.
This research focuses on the role of the pragmatic context in determining the purpose of speech on social media. This study describes the role of the pragmatic context in determining the purpose of speech in pragmatics with a cyber perspective. The object of this research was the role of the pragmatic context in the perspective of cyber pragmatics. This study's data were the utterances in which the object of the research object was contained in the role of the pragmatic context. The source of this research data substantively was the texts in which contained utterances containing the role of context. As a locational data source, this research uses social media in particular Twitter and Instagram to be reached around the time of this research. Data in the form of speeches that contain the role of the context were collected by applying the listen method. The technique used in the framework of applying the method of referencing was the free engage involved as a basic technique and the recording technique and note technique as a follow-up technique. The analytical method employed was the distributional analysis method. The technique used in applying the distribution method was the technique for the direct element. The extralinguistics dimensions of this research were analyzed by applying the contextual or equivalent methods, especially in extra lingual. The results showed four roles of the pragmatic context, namely: (1) aligning the substance of speech; (2) confirms the substance of speech; (3) clarifying the substance of speech; (4) the background of the speech intention.

The data was gathered using the observation method, namely by observing texts of traditional children’s games available during the research timeline. The technique used to apply the observation method was recording and note-taking techniques. Besides the observation method, speaking or interviewing methods were also applied. Interview was conducted to several experts who understand the local wisdom values contained in the Javanese traditional children’s games. In addition, the interview was conducted to children who play the traditional children’s games. Data analysis was carried out using distributional and content analysis methods. Then, the local wisdom values were found in this research were: (1) Solidarity; (2) Balance; (3) Synergy; (4) Sportsmanship; (5) Agility and Resilience; (6) Agility and Precision; (7) Obedience to Norms; (8) Affection; (9) Agility and Fighting Spirit; (10) Creativity and Adaptability; (11) Creative Imagination; (12) Acceptance to Facts of Life; (13) Fulfilling the Destiny; (14) Obedience and Discipline; (15) Intelligence Test; (16) Synergy and Collaboration.
