sorusia(a) hanmail.net 3-D human body scanning is certainly an interesting research topic. A lot of useful information about the dimensions of the human body can be extracted. However, still a lot of problems arise when it is used. The specification and standardization of the processes/tasks in the 3-D body scanning is not enough such as data acquisition, data translation, data storage, data analysis and extraction and so on. That is, there has not been a standardized method of measurement and procedures for utilization of 3-D scan data or body size. Therefore this study are to provide exploratory data for standardization of 3-D body measurement by discovering and analyzing by stages the cause of an error which is expected to occur while extracting a human body size from 3-D human body scanned data and to check if we can get the same body image from the 3-D scanning method as the one by the skilled anthropometrist's traditional method accurately.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
