The purpose of this study was to examine preschool teachers and parents' attitudes and their practices regarding the use of digital technologies during preschool education. The main research questions the study intended to address focused on teachers' and parents' attitudes and practices about the role of digital technology supplies in young children's development. The study used a mixed research approach, using in-depth interviews and an online questionnaire. The results have shown that only one of the eight preschool teachers reported a positive attitude regarding the impact of digital technology in children's development. Most of the interviewed preschool teachers showed preference towards authentic play and activities exercising children's psycho-motor skills. However, most of parents have suggested that their children, starting from early years of their development, are exposed to different digital technologies. In conclusion, there are two contradictory findings (progressive and regressive philosophies) among parents and preschool teachers regarding their perceptions and practices on the use of digital technologies in young children's learning and development. The study advocates for continuous cooperation between parents and teachers to ensure prospects of maximizing benefits and alleviating potential risks of using digital technologies in early childhood education.
Many researches has been conducted for the need to increase critical thinking of students (in (different fields, (also many researches has been done on the importance and the role of critical thinking for students achievements. In this context this requires a critical approach. To achieve this should be used effective teaching methods that develop critical thinking and also facilitate and enhance the learning of students and their performance in general, making them able to solving problems in their fields. A visualization approach increase communication, increase critical thinking and provides analytical approach to various problems. Therefore, this research is aimed to investigate visualization for the purpose of examining its role in developing critical thinking. In order to achieve this it was made an experiment for the use of visualization and from this experimentation are extracted the results of the effect of using the visualization for the aspect of developing and increasing critical thinking. The results which are taken from this research highlight the positive effect that the use of visualization in teaching and learning process has in developing the critical thinking of students and their overall performance. The results also shows that the visualization motivates students to learn, making them more cooperative and developing their skills for critical approach.
This research elaborates the perception of the teachers in relation to the benefits of using online resources in their educational activities, respectively the impact of the utilization of the platform “School Me” in the teaching and learning pro-cess. This was a longitudinal research and it included teachers of various sub-jects. The key research question tends to address the teachers’ insight for the benefits of using online resources. Taking into account that the nature of this study is of the evaluative character, a mixed methodology has been implemented by using questionnaires and interviews in order to study and analyze the problem focus. The results show that teachers have a positive attitude towards usage of the platform in their teaching, which also influences for their lessons to become more attractive and comprehensive for the students and easier for the teachers. As far as the usage of online resources for the students’ learning concerns, the findings of the performed research indicate a positive attitude of the teachers in schools for the affirmative impact that the usage of online resources has for the students’ learning. This research also indicated that there are still technical prob-lems present which in many cases hindered the utilization of the online re-sources.
The importance of this research was to highlight the use of interactive digital presentations in the classroom that allow students to interact with the lesson content, work independently, and answer various questions presented on these interactive slides. We used the Pear Deck add-on to create these interactive presentations. The research had a quasiexperimental design and was conducted with two seventh-grade classes in the primary school “Naim Frasheri” in Prishtina, where one of them played the role of the experimental group while the other had the role of the control group. Data collection instruments were used in two tests (pre-test and post-test), a questionnaire for students in the experimental class, and the method of observation in both classes. From the data collected from the questionnaire, we measured the positive effects on students’ motivation to learn and the positive effects on achievement were measured by testing students, while our attitudes as a teacher were reflected through the observation process. The results of this study have shown that the use of interactive digital presentations has a positive effect on the memorization of concepts and students’ engagement and that this kind of presentations are more efficient to use during the technology class compared to traditional learning methods.
This study shows the importance and efficiency of the use of ICT in the subjects of the field of education. Moreover, the study presents the reasons of students, as future teachers, what has led them to learn technology and what they see as a benefit from the use of new Technologies in Education. The purpose of this research is to identify the importance of ICT courses and the skills that students who complete the faculty of teacher education gain from following these courses. The research also aims to highlight the benefits and opinions of students about the field of ICT in education and its correlation with their success in other study subjects. This paper used a combination of two methodologies: quantitative and qualitative. The data was obtained through a questionnaire that was distributed to the students of the Faculty of Education of the University of Pristina. Our sample consists of 155 students in primary courses, early childhood education, and general pedagogy. The data were processed through the SPSS program through descriptive analysis, linear regression analysis, and one-way ANOVA. The results obtained from this research highlight that the use of ICT has helped the students of these directions to have better results in various subjects of the field of Education since almost all the students (future teachers) strongly supported the use of ICT, considering that the skills gained from following ICT subjects will help them in the future when working as teachers.
