The article discusses the scope of application of by-products from down-feather filling. It shows new tendencies and technologies of complex utilization of down-feather filling and other low-cost wastes of poultry processing industry in world and domestic practice. It analyzes the potential of Russian enterprises to use by-products as export potential. It was found out that despite the negative dynamics on the import of the respective products its value remains rather high that testifies to the possibilities of growth of the export component of the down-feather filling’ processing products.
The experience of implementing approaches of the green economy as an interaction and mutual influence between urban civilization and the biosphere is discussed. Sustainable urban development, based on the principles of a green economy, leads to an increase in human well-being in the long term, while not exposing future generations to significant environmental risks. The issue of sustainable development is being actively studied since currently the welfare of mankind is more and more determined by the quality of life in cities. In the future, the gap in numbers between urban and rural populations will only grow, and an increasing part of the world population will be represented by residents of urban areas. Sustainable urban development is understood as the ability of the urban environment to change, satisfying subsequent generations of residents in terms of security, convenience of living and activities, communications, logistics, infrastructure, architecture and design, with minimal costs for multiple transformations. European countries such as Sweden, Denmark and others show an increase in public investment in infrastructure consistent with the principles of sustainable development (including public transport, renewable energy, construction of energy-efficient buildings) and natural capital; Existing models for implementing the principles of the green economy and the practice of their implementation in Europe have shown that Russia needs social strategies designed to ensure alignment between social goals and existing or proposed economic strategies.
The article discusses the issue of increasing the income of poultry farms when using waste recycling. Based on the analysis of the poultry products market and waste structure, it was concluded that waste recycling is extremely important from the point of view of environmental factors. As a result of the marketing research, possible loss of profits of the poultry farms were revealed when not using recycling. A review of existing methods of calculating the financial efficiency of recycling is given, and a calculation toolkit confirming the economic feasibility of using recycling when taking into account new indicators proposed by the authors is given.
The article presents the systematization of the main technologies of biomass processing with the calculation of the result and the effect of their use both in Russia and abroad. In addition, an acute problem is indicated and promising directions in the processing and marketing of biomass are proposed. The analysis of contemporary scientific literature on this issue, which indicates the divergence of opinions on the problems of biomass processing at poultry farms. The goal set in the article is to explore promising areas in the processing of biomass. The research goal is (a) to identify problem areas in the activities of poultry enterprises and (b) to determine the economic feasibility of promising areas of management solutions to this issue, as well as in the development of an algorithm with an economic calculation. The study used statistical methods of structural and comparative analysis, structural – logical method of presenting information, economic and mathematical modeling. Conclusions are made about the economic feasibility of the use of biomass processing at poultry farms. The results obtained show new promising solutions, namely the use of the “in-house windrowing” method in the Russian poultry industry; also, a new market for biomass products was proposed. The results of the study will expand the possibilities for further study of the issue in the framework of the implementation of the Program for the Development of Biotechnology in the Russian Federation for the Period up to 2020 and the Strategy for the Development of the Forest Complex of the Russian Federation until 2030.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
