Epigenetic alterations are already being incorporated as robust biomarkers for prediction of cancer risk. Despite this success, validation in specific populations with different genetic backgrounds and variable lifestyle and environmental exposures is necessary. In this paper, we investigate the potential of blood DNA methylation as a non‐invasive test for detection of sporadic breast cancer biomarker in the Latin American population.
