Cervical cancer is one of the most common malignancies. Despite the existence of well-developed classical approaches to prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, cervical cancer demonstrates one of the highest incidence and mortality rates among female cancers. Cervical diseases are widespread, can develop at any age, and often preceded cancer development. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a new and unique treatment for cancer and a number of non-malignant diseases, which is based on systemic or topical administration of photosensitizers, followed by laser exposure. We analyzed foreign and Russian articles published between 2004 and 2018 evaluating the efficacy of PDT in patients with precancerous diseases and early cervical cancer. PDT is a highly effective treatment method, which causes no complications and can eliminate human papilloma virus. We assessed potential outlooks of wide clinical use of PDT. Key words: cervical dysplasia, photodynamic therapy, photosensitizer, laser, human papillomavirus
Abstract. The article considers the organization of learner autonomy in learning foreign language. The authors examine the term "autonomy" in modern methodological literature. The learner autonomy is interpreted differently by scientists and by now there is no a common explanation of this term. Despite different nuances we can certainly say that the learner autonomy is connected with a greater independence, the learners' responsibility in educational process, the ability to organize their own education and assess the results. Moreover it is paid attention to examination of the Language learning portfolio as an effective method of learner autonomy and the instrument of self-learning. It helps student to implement self-assessment and self-control of acquired linguistic skills that promotes the creating of conditions for development of educational competence and autonomy. The authors show the results of their research carried out with the students of the faculty of foreign languages of TSU to illustrate the effectiveness of the ELP.
A clinical case of the successful use of light-oxygen therapy is presented irradiation in the absorption spectrum of endogenous oxygen with its transfer to a singlet state in a patient with vulvar leukoplakia and lichen sclerosus. As a source of laser radiation, we used the domestic Super Sab diode laser with a wavelength close to 1265 nm (OOO New Surgical Technologies, Moscow), radiation power – from 0.9 to 1.2 W, power density – from 0.8 to 1.06 W/cm2, exposure dose – 200–250 J/cm2. The procedures were carried out 2 times a week with an interval of 3–4 days.As a result of the treatment (8 procedures), complete clinical remission was achieved.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
