Introduction: The "Patient safety" movement has become a spirit in hospital nursing services throughout the world, not only hospitals in developed countries that implement patient safety to ensure the quality of health and nursing services, but also hospitals in developing countries, such as Indonesia.Objective: The relationship between the implementation of the functions of planning, organizing, directing and controlling the head of the room with the application of patient safety by nurses in Makassar City Hospital.Method: this research is a quantitative research with cross sectional approach. The study was conducted in the inpatient room of the Makassar City General Hospital of 63 nurses implementing it (simple random sampling). The method of collecting data using a checklist questionnaire by distributing questionnaires, the implementation of head room management functions with the application of patient safety using the Spearman 's rho correlation test.Results: The results showed that there was a significant relationship between the function of head room management with the application of patient safety by nurses in Makassar City Hospital with a value of p = 0.009 and a Spearman's rho correlation value of 0.327, in organizing a value of p = 0.042 and a spearman correlation value of 0.257, at controlling for p value = 0,023 and spearman correlation value 0,285. There is no significant relationship between the implementation of the head room planning management function obtained p value = 0.095 and Spearman's correlation value rho 0.212, the head room directional function with the application of patient safety with a value of p = 0.530 and the spearman correlation value of 0.081. Discussion : of the results showed that the more the better the implementation of the head room management function, the better the implementation of patient safety by nurses in Makassar City HospitalConclusion: The head of the room needs to always improve the planning and direction function in an effort to civilize the application of patient safety so that there will be a good quality of patient safety in the Makassar City Hospital service environment.Keywords: Head of Management Function room, patient safety, nurses

Tuberculosis is still one of the deadliest infectious diseases and has claimed millions of lives over the years. Several factors such as treatment adherence including length of treatment, drug side effects and access to health services are factors in increasing TB mortality rates. Some people who have family members with a history of tuberculosis do not understand how to care for and increase the independence of TB patients, plus the lack of internet access which makes people less exposed to health information, this is a partner problem so it is important to hold counseling on how to care for family members with TB, as well as assistance in increasing the self-care independence of TB patients. The service method is lecture/counseling, accompanied by simulations and questions and answers. This community service is held in January-February in Balocci Baru Village, Kec. Balocci to be exact in the courtyard area of the Balocci Baru village office. The results of the service are in accordance with the plan where participants are able to understand increasing the independence of self-care for TB patients and are enthusiastic during the counseling and mentoring process.

The bacteria infects the lungs (pulmonary TB), but can also infect other parts of the body (extrapulmonary TB). About 5-10% of the 1.7 billion people infected with TB will develop TB disease in their lifetime. The level of knowledge that is lacking will have an impact on increasing TB transmission and delaying the healing period or not maximizing TB treatment. Another impact of the lack of knowledge about TB is that it can lead to non-adherence during treatment. So that the success of TB treatment is largely determined by the high level of patient knowledge. This is a problem for partners, so it is important to provide counseling regarding the prevention of TB transmission. The service method is lecture/counseling, accompanied by simulations and questions and answers. This community service was held in January in Borisallo Village, Parangloe District, Gowa Regency, to be precise in the courtyard area of the Borisallo village office. The expected results are in accordance with the plan where participants are able to understand how to prevent transmission of TB disease and are enthusiastic during the counseling process.
