Angesichts des Pflegefachkräftemangels wird unter anderem darüber diskutiert, Pflegeroboter zur Pflege älterer Menschen im Krankenhaus einzusetzen. Es wurden 120 Seniorinnen und Senioren in einer betreuten Wohnanlage zu ihrer Einstellung gegenüber den Pflegerobotermodellen RIBA, Care-O-bot, Pepper und Paro befragt. Die Befragten lehnen Pflegeroboter im Krankenhaus nicht grundsätzlich ab, Akzeptanz und Skepsis hängen aber stark vom Einsatzszenario ab. Wenn Senioren Informationen zu Pflegerobotern erhalten, kann dies die Neugier auf neue Technologien wecken. Die große Mehrheit der Befragten geht davon aus, dass Pflegeroboter Pflegekräfte körperlich und zeitlich entlasten können. Es ist anzunehmen, dass die Akzeptanz für Pflegeroboter steigen wird, wenn Betroffene in die Technologieentwicklung und deren Integration in die Pflegepraxis eingebunden werden.

The term mobility has different meanings in the following science disciplines. In economics, mobility is the ability of an individual or a group to improve their eco-nomic status in relation to income and wealth within their lifetime or between gen-erations. In information systems and computer science, mobility is used for the concept of mobile computing, in which a computer is transported by a person during normal use. Logistics creates by the design of logistics networks the infrastructure for the mobility of people and goods. Electric mobility is one of today’s solutions from an engineering perspective to reduce the need of energy resources and environmental impact. Moreover, for urban planning, mobility is the crunch question about how to optimise the different needs for mobility and how to link different transportation systems. In this publication we collected the ideas of practitioners, researchers, and govern-ment officials regarding the different modes of mobility in a globalised world, fo-cusing on both domestic and international issues.

The shortage of skilled labour leads to noticeable losses in the quality of care in Germany. The Federal Government wants to promote the mobility of international skilled workers with a current program. A different approach could be the introduction of care robots, which can relieve the professionals of onerous tasks, so that they can concentrate on their core tasks.
