Research activities can run ideally when research results can be known by the public. One way to publish research results is by attending seminars or scientific conferences. The Call for Paper poster became a vehicle for disseminating information on the holding of the scientific conference. One of them is ICRAMET's CFP poster. ICRAMET has been held since 2015 and creates various poster designs for publication purposes. This poster work needs to be analyzed to determine the characteristics of the designed layout and the tendency of research institutions in carrying out work in the field of visual communication design. The aspects analyzed include design elements and principles, including assessments in terms of appearance, message, and function, as well as conducting in-depth interviews with design designers. The results of the analysis show that the poster layout design that is built seems rigid and static, there is no exploration of a more creative design. The institutions do not yet have a high level of awareness of the design field as a medium for communicating research results to the public. The recommendation for further research that can be done is to analyze the variety of other media used by research institutions as a communication tool. Riset berperan sebagai tolok ukur kemajuan ekonomi suatu negara. Sayangnya, di Indonesia jumlah periset masih tergolong rendah. Data UNESCO menyebutkan angka periset di Indonesia tidak lebih dari 300 per satu juta penduduk, jauh dari kondisi ideal. Dukungan lembaga riset besar seperti BRIN diperlukan untuk membantu terlaksananya regenerasi periset di negeri ini, karena generasi muda menganggap profesi di bidang riset terlalu berat untuk dicita-citakan. Salah satu strategi komunikasi yang bisa dimanfaatkan untuk mengomunikasikan riset dan dekat dengan generasi muda adalah media sosial TikTok, dimana konten riset yang selama ini dianggap berat dan serius dapat dikombinasikan dengan materi visual yang menarik, narasi cerita yang unik melalui format game, serta menggunakan bahasa yang populer. Survei yang dilakukan oleh Kominfo menunjukkan bahwa Indonesia memiliki pasar video game yang besar, dengan jumlah pemain game di atas 170 juta orang, dimana game mobile merupakan sektor pendorong utama di industri ini. Dalam penelitian ini, pendekatan yang digunakan didasarkan pada model Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D) yang dikembangkan oleh Borg & Gall (1983). Fokus utama dari pendekatan ini adalah mengembangkan produk yang dapat digunakan oleh BRIN melalui media sosial untuk mengenalkan riset dan iptek kepada generasi muda, khususnya remaja. Dari hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa penggunaan game edukasi berjudul ‘Infected Bananas!’ melalui platform TikTok BRIN merupakan salah satu pilihan strategi yang dapat diterapkan untuk mengenalkan riset kepada remaja.
