Assessment, especially classroom assessment techniques (CATs) is widely recognized as a vital component of teaching practice. To add one more proof to this confirmation, this study has been conducted to discover some impacts of practicing CATs in Physics teaching to Grade 11 students in Vietnam on their improvement of learning interest and outcomes. Some CATs were utilized to design assessment activities, and then put into practice. Observation and questionnaire survey were then conducted to collect data on students' responses during the instruction and by the end of instruction. A test to summative measure students' learning out-comes, having been administrated in two groups: with and without CATs practicing to evaluate the effective-ness of the CATs. The research results have shown that the assessment activities have actually facilitated students' interest and engagement in the lesson; in which students' learning outcomes are considerately promoted.

This study investigates the online learning experience of the Master of TESOL students studying at Ho Chi Minh City Open University. The online survey was sent to students of both the local and join Master programs who took online courses during the university closures because of Covid-19. The findings showed that the students had positive experience with their online learning. They indicated that they were ready for studying online in the future though they had challenges such as improper attention in online study; poor internet connectivity, unfavorable conditions to study at home and lack of training for online study. This paper approaches vignette understanding from the phenomenology perspective. It reviews definitions of vignettes, their characteristics and how to appreciate vignettes. The potential impacts of vignette application on teaching and learning, as well as on the institutions are also addressed. Bài báo này tiếp cận sự hiểu biết vignette từ quan điểm hiện tượng học. Nó xem xét các định nghĩa về vignette, đặc điểm của chúng và cách hiểu vignette. Các tác động tiềm tàng của việc áp dụng vignette đối với việc dạy và học, cũng như đối với các cơ sở giáo dục cũng được đề cập.
