RESUMOO Arachis hypogeae L. (Fabales: Fabaceae) é uma leguminosa-oleaginosa de porte baixo, que suas sementes são apreciadas pelo seu sabor agradável, e seus cultivos sofrem bastante com a competição com as ervas. Sendo assim o objetivo deste trabalho foi estudar a composição florística de uma área de cultivo de amendoim no município de Lagoa Seca-PB. Esta identificação ocorreu coma utilização de coleta in loco, dentro de quadrículas pré-determinadas, da parte aérea dos vegetais, futura catalogação das ervas, segundo bibliografia especializada. Foi descrita uma flora de quinze espécies e gêneros diferentes, pertencentes a doze diferentes famílias vegetativas, com maior relevância a família Poaceae. (FABALES: FABACEAE) IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF LAGOA SECA, PB ABSTRACTThe Arachis hypogeae L. (Fabales: Fabaceae) is a legumeoilseed stature, their seeds are valued for their pleasant taste, and their crops suffer greatly with weed competition. Therefore the objective of this work was to study the floristic composition of a peanut growing area in the municipality of Lagoa Seca-PB.
