Introduction: Penile cancer accounts for 10% to 20% of the male urogenital tumors. In Brazil, the North and Northeast regions have the highest rates.Objective: Analytical, retrospective, and cross-sectional study addressing the profile of individuals with penile neoplasms who have undergone penectomy in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil. Results: Poor hygiene, smoking, and phimosis were the main risk factors identified. Patients showed epidermoid carcinoma (type I) and metastasis. The early signs and symptoms were tumor and painful ulcer.
Methods:
Melasma is a common hypermelanosis, adquired, symemetrical, characterized by irregular brownish macules. This review aims to score the clinical and histologicals investgations promoted by intradermotherapy, its treatment protocols and their evolution. Of the reviewed articles, here are described the main methods of treatment, as well as their desired and side effects. However, as the treatment of choice, we will use the intraderotherapy. The advances in orofacial harmonizaton are responsible for several techniques that, associated, culminate in effectve results in the treatment of melisma, the focus of this review.
This paper aimed to address smile rehabilitation, returning aesthetics and function using dental contact lenses with conservative preparations. Sometimes the use of contact lenses, despite completely improving teeth aesthetics, is unable to solve all the aesthetic needs for complete oral harmonization, for example, the black spaces that impair smile aesthetics. In this paper we will show how it is possible to correct interdental papillae using hyaluronic acid, complementing the aesthetic gain, raising self-esteem and bringing the perfect smile desired by the patients.
Orofacial Harmonization (HOF) that has already been recognized as a dental specialty by the Brazilian Federal Council of Dentistry (CFO) through the resolution CFO-198/2019, has been showing considerable advances in health promotion and reestablishment of a complete physical, mental and social well-being of the individual. Also, it makes efforts in an attempt to strengthen and improve the biosafety protocols presented by the World Health Organization (WHO). The undertakings carried out by the government and health authorities are notorious in an attempt to adapt to the new reality presented by this pandemic caused by COVID-19. However, we cannot deny the negligence of these same authorities of not inserting this specialty as part of the essential care for the population, as the HOF is able of providing numerous benefits, as well as the dentist who was left in the gloom in its origin as a health promoting agent. In the present study, updated biosafety protocols will be shown, and also the importance of adding the inherent technologies of HOF and all the knowledge and proficiency of dentistry professionals in an attempt to concretize the real concept of health, benefiting the population that is desolated and terrified in this new post-COVID world.
