Rapidly changing economic, social and political conditions, the penetration of new technologies also requires a completely different type of the university lecturers who are innovation-friendly. They must have relevant knowledge and combine didactic technologies and information and communication technologies in order that they would be able to give students an opportunity to study in an innovative and effective way. Taking into consideration that the study process is always based on a certain technology and paying attention to the shift of education paradigms, it can be established that, in the modern study process, it is extremely important to realise precisely today's educational objectives and principles which assist in implementing up-to-date educational technologies. The study is aimed at establishing what most important factors of the application of educational technologies in the process of modern studies are. The study is based on a quantitative research methodology the choice of which was determined by the newness of the analyzed problem. The study shows that the objectives of a subject of studies are always discussed with students, the latter also have an opportunity to set their own individual study objectives, they are continuously kept informed why they study concrete knowledge and what it will be needed for in the future. The creation of an environment favourable to studies is also proved by the fact that the opportunity is given to students to combine the content of their studies of a subject with their own personal experience, interests. The study process is dominated by the study process of the active creation and construction of knowledge.
Lifelong learning paradigm raises higher requirements for a teacher: quality and effectiveness are the two key words defining the general education policy of the EU and the main objectives of the current period. Today teachers are required to be able to work in a multi cultural environment, flexibly respond and adapt to changes, individualise and differentiate the content of education, and pursue various social functions (such as vocational counseling, conflict management, mediation etc.). Besides high professional requirements teachers are also required to participate in the continuous/further learning process including formal/non formal professional development, selfeducation, and studies in state and private vocational training organisations not only within the framework of education but also in other spheres. The following question have been raised in the article: how the process of teachers' professional development is organised in Lithuania?
Turizmo industrija išgyvena patį sunkiausią savo istorijos laikotarpį dėl 2020 m. sausio 30 d. Pasaulio sveikatos organizacijos (PSO) paskelbtos COVID-19 krizės, kuri laipsniškai virto ir 2020 m. kovo 11 d. įvardyta kaip pasaulinė pandemija. Kelionių suvaržymai, įvesti siekiant stabdyti viruso plitimą, pragaištingai paveikė turizmo verslą visame pasaulyje. Turizmas -svarbi pasaulio ekonomikos infrastruktūros dalis, Jungtinių Tautų Pasaulio turizmo organizacijos duomenimis, generuojanti 10 proc. bendrojo vidaus produkto ir išlaikanti 1 iš 10 visų pasaulio darbo vietų. Turizmo sektorius ypač dinamiškas, kur būtina greita reakcija į kintančią aplinką ir rinką. Be to, turizmas yra labiausiai COVID-19 pandemijos paveiktas sektorius. Būtinas išsamus šiuolaikinio turizmo tyrimas ir vidinių bei išorinių išteklių analizė. Rinkos pokyčių suvokimas yra esminis veiksnys, leidžiantis išlikti versle turizmo produktą kuriančioms įmonėms. Iššūkių kelia ir technologinė pažanga, kurią skatina tiek pačių technologijų tobulėjimas, tiek saugumo pandemijos metu aspektai. Šiame straipsnyje analizuojama COVID-19 pandemijos įtaka turizmo sektoriui pasaulyje, kuris apima kruizinių laivų ir oro linijų pramonę bei apgyvendinimo sektorių. Sėkmingai sunkumus įveikia įmonės, preventyviai stebinčios ir vertinančios esminius veiklos rodiklius: jei rodikliai netenkina, imasi visų įmanomų veiklą gerinančių priemonių. Sklandus ir savalaikis restruktūrizavimo procesas leidžia laikinų sunkumų turinčioms įmonėms performuoti savo veiklą, keičiant įmonės strategiją, atsisakant nepelningų veiklos formų ir koncentruojantis ties efektyviausiomis. Abstract. Lithuania, as well as other contemporary societies, is undergoing the times full of new technological, political, economic, social and scientific changes. In the changing society, adult education has helps a person to develop his and her cultural interests, creative powers, skills and acquire theoretical knowledge necessary for person's professional activity, enables a person to upgrade his or her current qualification and helps to become an active citizen of a democratic society (Zemaitaityte, 2007). This paper seeks to discuss Trancultural Biography Work (TBW) as an adult educative approach that is mainly oriented on one's resources and potentials. But it also may help to overcome hindering patterns of thinking, feeling and acting. Through Biography Work, people explore how they handled difficult situations in one's life: How did the person manage similar situations in the past? How did other people or other members of person family with whom he/she shared memory manage it? It supports to gain self-awareness as well as courage and the desire to realize one's potentials.
