RESUMO:O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar a percepção de suporte familiar de alunos com histórico de reprovação. Os participantes foram quarenta alunos do sexto ao nono ano de uma escola da rede pública de ensino, do interior do Estado de Rondônia. A pesquisa foi delineada a partir do método quantitativo. Para a coleta de dados utilizouse o Inventário de Percepção de Suporte Familiar (IPSF), o qual é composto de quarenta e dois itens e três dimensões que avaliam a percepção do indivíduo acerca das relações familiares. Os resultados encontrados revelaram um baixo nível de percepção familiar pelos participantes. Conclui-se que a falta de apoio familiar pode ser um dos fatores que contribui para o insucesso escolar desses alunos.Palavras-chave: Insucesso escolar; Histórico de reprovação; Suporte familiar. PERCEPTION THE OF FAMILY SUPPORT GIVEN TO STUDENTS WITH A HISTORY OF SCHOLASTIC FAILURE ABSTRACT:The objective of this study was to analyze the perception of family support for students with a failure historic. The participants were composed by forty students from the sixth to the ninth grade of a public school from the countryside of the Rondônia State. The research was drawn from the quantitative method. For the data collection, it was used the Inventory of Perception of Family Support (IPSF), which is composed by forty two items and three dimensions that assess the perception of an individual regarding family relationships. The results found showed a low level of family perception by the participants. As a result, it was concluded that the lack of support may be one of the factors which contributes to the school failure of these students.
