In fact, most of studens thought that Mathematics is difficult, because the instruction was dull, teacher was less active as facilitator in instruction, teacher did not apply imstructional media, teacher didnot involve students enough in instruction, too many formula but less in practice and also teacher did not maximalized instructional model, as the result, the instruction was ineffective, besides teacher was focuse more on cognotive oriented domain at class instruction, he left students' affective and pshycomotor domains, so that, their maturnity was less maximal. The objective of study wad to improve students' activities and the mathematics'score through geoboard instructional aid. The research was done at seventh hrade of SMP N 3 Metro Lampung on April 2018. It was a Classroom Action Research. Data collection were observation sheets, tes and questionnaire that was students' response to instruction. It was analysed through descriptive analytic technique. The result of study was the using of ELPSA model through geoboard assisstance at two dimentional figure could improve the avetage value 55.36 % at cycle I into 74.49% at cycle ll, and the average result value was 55.06 at cycle ll became 67.41 at cycle ll. Based on the data finding, it can be infered that in appliying mathematis at class teacher should motivate students' interest and also fix the quality of instruction through variation of instructional model and suitable teaching aid,so that students' result can be maximazed
Pada realitasnya, banyak siswa menganggap Matematika itu sulit. Anggapan ini akan semakin kuat apabila pembelajarannya kurang menarik, guru kurang berperan sebagai fasilitator, guru tidak menggunakan media pembelajaran, guru kurang melibatkan siswa secara aktif dalam pembelajaran, banyak rumus, kurang banyak latihan, dan guru belum maksimal menggunakan model pembelajaran. Jadi, pembelajaran yang berlangsung menjadi kurang efektif. Selain itu, guru lebih mengutamakan kegiatan pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada ranah kognitif, sering meninggalkan ranah afektif dan psikomotor siswa, sehingga perubahan kedewasaan siswa menjadi kurang maksimal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa dengan model ELPSA berbantuan alat peraga geoboard. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Metro, Lampung, pada bulan April 2018, menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes, dan angket. Analisisnya menggunakan teknik deskriptif analitis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model ELPSA berbantuan alat peraga geoboard pada materi bangun datar dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa dari rata-rata 55,36% pada siklus I menjadi 74,49% pada siklus III, dan hasil belajar dari rata-rata 55,06 pada siklus I menjadi 67,41 pada siklus III. Oleh karena itu, dalam pembelajaran hendaknya guru selalu berinovasi untuk dapat memotivasi minat belajar siswa dan memperbaiki kualitas pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran yang bervariasi dan alat peraga yang sesuai, sehingga hasil belajar siswa bisa maksimal.In fact, many students perceive that Mathematics is difficult. Such perception is getting stronger when the learning process is not attractive; the teacher is not as a facilitator; the teacher does not use any learning media; the teacher does not let the students participate actively in the learning process; there are too many formulas and less exercises; and the teacher does not apply a learning model optimally. Therefore, the learning is less effective. Besides, the teachers often tend to focus only on cognitive-based learning activities, and somehow ignoring students’ affective as well as psychomotor aspects so that students’ maturity development is not effective either. The objective of this research is to improve students’ learning activities as well as outcomes which applies geoboard-assisted ELPSA Model. This research is applied to the class of VII grades at SMP Negeri 3 Metro Lampung in April 2018 with Class Action Research method. Data collection is carried out through the method of observation, test, as well as questionnaire. The data is analysed by using descriptive analytic techniques. The result shows that the utilization of geoboard-assisted ELSPA Model for the material of rectangular shapes can increase students’ learning activities from the average of 55,36% in cycle I to be 74,49% in cycle III, and also increase students’ learning outcomes from the average of 55,06 in cycle I to be 67,41 in cycle III. Therefore, teachers should keep innovating their teaching process to enhance students’ interest and learning quality with various models as well as suitable tools so that the students’ learning outcomes can be optimal.
Pembelajaran abad 21 memerlukan pemanfaatan media dalam pembelajaran, yang mengakibatkan keinginan dan minat baru, meningkatkan motivasi dan rangsangan dalam pembelajaran, bahkan berpengaruh secara psikologis kepada siswa. Media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi dapat membuat pembelajaran lebih powerfull, karena penggunaan media dalam proses pembelajaran bukan merupakan fungsi tambahan, tetapi mempunyai fungsi sebagai alat bantu untuk mewujudkan situasi pembelajaran yang aktif, efektif dan menyenangkan. Arus globalisasi yang terjadi saat ini juga mencakup aspek kemajuan dalam penggunaan teknologi informasi, diharapkan tujuan dari penggunaan geogebra dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar matematika yang divariasi dengan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kelas IX SMP Negeri 3 Metro pada bulan November 2018 menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, adapun teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan angket motivasi. Analisisnya menggunakan teknik skala likert. Hasil penelitian ini adalah melalui Discovery Learning dengan Geogebra dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, sehingga aktivitas belajar juga mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata 60,83% pada siklus I menjadi 89,38% pada siklus III. Oleh karena itu dalam pembelajaran hendaknya guru dapat berinovasi untuk memotivasi dan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dengan model yang bervariasi dan media yang sesuai, sehingga hasil belajar dapat maksimal.
Objective of study was to determine students' learning pattern in understanding angle around the circle and center corner of the circle concepts through teaching aids' suling and pusling' and also to know students' activities at the instruction. The advantages of teaching aids is to motivate students learning, so that they will be more selfconfident in finding concrete mathematics concepts, moreover, the instructional activity will be more enjoyable. Research method was Research and Development(R and D). The result of study showed that 'suling ang pusling' teaching aids could ease students grabbed the concepts i.e the relation betwen angles around the circle and center corner of The circle. It was shown from observation sheet results of students activities that their activities through this teaching aids could be at very active level with average students' score 80.86%
