House flies are the species that play the most role in public health problems, namely as a vector of disease transmission. Control of house flies is needed without polluting the environment. The alternative developed is the use of plants as vegetable pesticides. Basil leaves used as basil leaf extract are used as vegetable insecticides to control house flies (Musca domestica). This research is an experiment to see the ability of basil leaf extract as a bioinsecticide on the repulsion/repellency of house flies. This research is experimental and analyzed using a two-way ANOVA analysis. The study consisted of two factors, the first factor was the dose of basil leaf extract: 0%, 20%, 30%, dan 40%, and the second factor, the time of observation of the repelling power of house flies/repelan for 5 minutes, 10 minutes and 15 minutes. Statistical test results stated that basil leaf extract: dose 0% sig value 0,011<0,05, dose 20% sig value 0,178>0,05, dose 30% sig value 0,031<0,05 and dose 40% sig value 0,007<0,05, so that the dose of 0% has an effect for the observation time of 15 minutes, the dose of 20% does not affect the repelling/repelling power of house flies, for observations of 5, 10 and 15 minutes, the dose of 30% and the dose of 40% affects, for all time observations.

Palm Oil Mill Liquid Waste (PMKS) is a potential source of pollution for humans and the environment. PMKS liquid waste generally has a high temperature, is brown, contains dissolved and suspended solids in the form of colloids and high residues of oil, BOD, and COD. If the effluent is not treated first and immediately discharged into the waters, it has the potential to pollute the environment. Previous studies have shown that the comparison value of seawater and liquid waste is 1:3. The highest decrease was 97.3% for BOD, 94.8% for COD, 94.43% for oils and fats, 87.36% for TSS, and a pH of 60.7% with a pH value of 8.5 at a rotation of 60 minutes. The results of this study showed that there was a higher level of pollution reduction. Therefore, in this study, we tried to treat palm oil effluent with seawater and Poly Aluminum Chloride (PAC) and the result is the highest decrease in BOD at 96.21%, COD the highest at 97.5%, the highest oil/fat figure was 48.5%, the highest TSS number 58.0%, the highest pH 13.5%. Suggestions in the CPO liquid waste treatment process should take advantage of the by-product of the anaerobic treatment process that produces methane gas. which can be used to generate electricity. And it can be applied to the initial stage of the CPO liquid waste WWTP which is then processed for the sediment because it contains oil as the raw material for making cream soap.

The previous takakura composting model used takakura baskets covered with cloth and cardboard to produce leachate through the wastebasket process which seeped and wetted the cloth and cardboard. It was also found that the increase in the C/N ratio did not meet the requirements. Therefore an innovation was carried out in this study which aims to determine the effectiveness of making compost with the Takakura Model which uses a plastic bucket with filter media to accommodate the leachate produced so that the leachate can also be used as raw material for liquid fertilizer. The materials used are organic waste, EM4, and cow dung in the community in Way Layap Hamlet, Hajimena Village, Natar District. This research is an experiment. The independent variables in this study were 3mm, 4mm, and 5mm filter diameters for buckets, cow dung, organic waste, and EM4. The dependent variable in this study was the quality of compost (organic C, macronutrients (N+P2O5+K2O), C/N ratio, and pH for 15 days. The results obtained were compost quality (organic C 15.63%, macronutrients (N+ P2O5+) K2O) ranges from (6.71% -7.87%), C/N ratio ranges from (13.44-16.57) and pH 7-8.5 all meet standards according to SNI 7763: 2018. Leachate originating from the composting process can be used as liquid fertilizer. Future research needs to use a more varied raw material and the addition of other bio activators to speed up composting.
