Students in recent years spend a considerable amount of time on social networking web-sites. They have made online access and navigation through these sites part of their daily activities. The impact of social network sites in particular has become a major subject of discussion among various studies, because some of them see these pages as a threat or obstacle, while the rest argue that them affects positively the age of adolescence. A quantitative, descriptive and exploratory survey was conducted to identify the impact of this involvement on adolescents’ behaviour that affect their psychological development. The research sample consisted of 893 students, between the ages 10-15 years, users of the social network sites. This champion has been taken from middle school institutions from different cities of Albania. The analysis of the study results confirmed that students are using social network sites for a long time during the day. They have become addicted to them and they already display some behaviour patterns. As a conclusion, the study found that the inclusion in social network sites, if students spend a considerable amount of time on them, has a negative impact in their psychological problems. Parents, teachers and students need to communicate with each other in order to identify and avoid the risks of social network sites and also other studies should be done in this field and suggest different strategies to manage the psychological problems caused by the use of social networking sites.
One of the main objectives of the Strategic Framework for European Collaboration in the field of education and training until 2020 is the promotion of the active civility via education. The scope of this study is reaching some objective conclusions with regard to the existent flaws and the students' civic background as well as the influence of this background on the active participation level for civic behaviour. It is also intended to study the connection between the civic and cultivated behaviour of the teachers, the teaching quality and the civic participation of the students. In this study, the measurement of the teachers' civic background and the teaching quality was carried out through the Likert scale. In order to measure the civic behaviours, questions with a scenario were applied, as the behaviours are better measured through the scenarios rather than the scales. The questionnaires were carried out in Durres and Elbasan among 414 students in the classes 6-9 and 34 teachers of the civility education. The statistical package of the social sciences (SPSS, 20) was applied for data analysis. In the civic background of the teachers, several factors resulted to be very essential. Some of these factors were: the civic engagement and values, where Chronbach's Alfa resulted to be 0,73. Meanwhile, in the teaching quality level other factors resulted to be crucial, such as: the quality of the class, the teaching methodology, the assessment methods, where Chronbach's Alfa resulted to be 0,67.
This paper is dedicated to the education policies of Italy for the expansion and consolidation of Italian schools in Albania, from the point of view of archival documents and the Albanian press at that time. The study focuses primarily on the efforts of the Italian government to organize the education system, establish schools, prepare programs and textbooks, equip schools with the necessary acts, etc., as an attempt to outline the European profile of education in Albania after 1912. As a part of the general analysis on the effects of the Italian schools on the life of Albanian society, would undoubtedly be the analysis of the "individual" type that it produced. On the one hand, the changes after the World War I generated a complex, renewed and more productive national education, but on the other hand, it was highly dependent on the Italian-Albanian education policies, and consequently, oriented towards a more open education system which promoted the cultural tendencies and aspirations of the Albanian nation. New democratic developments in Albania, gave us the opportunity to shed light on Italian-Albanian education policies within the context of the Italian-Albanian relations. Thanks to this, prominent figures left in oblivion, their work for the spread of new pedagogical ideas and the development of Western schools are given the acknowledgment that they deserve. The tendency to embrace and adapt those policies to the conditions of Albania of that time, reflect the important phenomenon of its developments and intellectual thought, so that the school could help more in the civilization and education of the Albanian society.
