A fundamental issue of lubrication analysis is the calculation of surface deformation, which includes two major steps: determination of influence coefficients and multiplication and summation. There are various interpolation schemes, such as the bilinear interpolation, the piecewise constant function or Green's function, available for determining the influence coefficients, while the summation operation may be performed by using one of the following methods: direct summation (DS), multilevel multi-integration (MLMI) or the discrete convolution and fast Fourier transform (DC-FFT) method. To limit the periodical errors, the proper way to implement the DC-FFT method is described in detail. The computation efficiency and numerical accuracy are compared by applying the different methods to typical contact problems. The results show that the three methods can achieve comparable numerical accuracy, but the DC-FFT method shows much higher computation efficiency than the others, especially when a great number of grid points are involved. It is concluded that the DC-FFT method has great potential in applications to the numerical analysis of, for example, surface deformations and temperature rises.
This study was conducted to develop the Chinese Mandarin State-Trait Anxiety Inventory Y form and to evaluate its psychometric properties among Taiwanese outpatients with anxiety disorders. A three-phase survey questionnaire was used to gather cross-sectional data. Non-hospitalized adults (n= 306) with anxiety disorders were recruited from mental health clinics in central Taiwan. Cronbach's alpha reliabilities for the state and trait anxiety subscales were 0.91 and 0.92, respectively. The 2-week test-retest reliabilities for the state and trait anxiety subscales were 0.76 and 0.91, respectively. Criterion validity of the scale was supported by its high correlations with the interview version of the Chinese Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (r= 0.69 for state and 0.74 for trait anxiety). Construct validity of the scale was confirmed by a four-factor structure, showing slightly adequate representation of the data. The scale was shown to be reliable and may be valid for measuring anxiety in Taiwanese adults with anxiety disorders.
We report on measurements of the 1S, 2S and 3S di erential cross sections d 2 =dp T dy jyj 0:4 , as well as on the 1S polarization in pp collisions at p s = 1:8TeV using a sample of 77 3 pb ,1 collected by the Collider Detector at Fermilab. The three resonances were reconstructed through the decay ! + , . The measured angular distribution of the muons in the 1S rest frame is consistent with unpolarized meson production.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
