Este debate es tan relevante por el creciente disenso entre la comunidad científica respecto a la posibilidad de la verdad y de la objetividad en las ciencias y la relación con los conceptos. En el siguiente artículo se discutirá la noción de concepto y, especialmente, la del concepto de gen, sobre el que se pretende mostrar un breve estudio de su desarrollo históri-co (en la biología) que permite identificar diversos significados que responden al contexto explicativo de los distintos episodios y sucesos históricos que tuvieron lugar en el siglo XX.Palabras clave: conceptos, polisemia, epistemología, historia de conceptos (HdC). This debate is as relevant by the growing dissent within the scientific community regarding the possibility of truth and objectivity in science and related concepts. In the next article will discuss the notion of concept and especially the gene concept, on which is intended to show a brief study of its historical development (in biology) that identifies various meanings that respond to the context explaining the different episodes and historical events that took place in the twentieth century.
