Data hiding is one of the most important ways to achieve secure data transfer. Most spatial data hiding methods will make the host image distortion and the embedded data can be detected by stenography analysis. A novel data hiding method is proposed in this paper. This method first disturbs the raw critical data, and then embedded them only into areas of color changes much in the host image. Experiments show that this method can reduce the distortion of the host image and decrease the appreciability of the embedded data.
We study the problem of traffic lights scheduling in a dynamic three-dimension intersection. In this paper, an intelligent traffic lights schedule approach is proposed to optimize the traffic lights sequence according to traffic data detected and predicted in real-time, e.g. traffic volume, delays and traffic density. Evaluations have been conducted to compare the performance in terms of traffic throughput, and the result depicts that our intelligent approach can obtain better performance.
Three cases of cables fire experiments with different ventilation rate in real scale electronic cabinet have been carried out. In each experiment, five cables with 14mm in out diameter and four copper conductors with 1650mm in length were used. the insulation and cover of the cables was combustible .Temperature of the fire cables, CO ,O2 as well as temperature in different location in the center of the cabinet in the fire cabinet were measured as a function of time. The key role of the ventilation rate on the temperature in the center of the cabinet and the concentration of CO and O2 were clearly shown, but the influence on fire spread of cable fire was not so much significantly.
We research the issue of traffic signals scheduling, based on the use of real-time traffic information gathered by a wireless sensor network. In this paper, an optimization on traffic signals sequence scheduling has been put forward, which can be achieved based on the instant traffic data collected in the dynamically traffic environment. Afterwards, simulations have been conducted in several scenarios, and show that the proposed approach can achieve better performance in terms of traffic throughput.
The general goal of the course of network engineering training is to develop the students’ talents of analyzing, designing and configuration or operation for network engineering projects. Some teaching experiences and effective approaches are introduced in this paper. This training course is organized with several specialized LAN based network tasks and students are divided into groups which should finish all the tasks. The idea of CDIO in engineering education is also adopted during the training. The result shows these approaches perform well in this training course of network engineering.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
