Página1715Recycling has shown excellent opportunity for new projects, resulting in generation of employment and income for various social levels. Thus, the present study aims to map the potential supply points of solid wasteand find out what would be the best geographical location of São Bernardo do Campo for the implementation of collection units of these recycled materials. The potential supply points obtained in this studyare now part of a network distribution model, represented by a graph, where the "knots" of the graph represent the geographic location of each of the points and the "edges" of the graphs represent the distances between each of them and a strategic point, whose Cartesian coordinates constitute the model variables. For the resolution of the model, was used the algorithm known by the Generalized Reduced Gradient (GRG). The results and the methodology used in this research are presented and may subsidize the decision making of social investors. Keywords
