This article describes main aspects and steps of our design of water quality monitoring wireless sensor network. Interconnections between the ecologic-environmental, biologic-chemical measurements and electronic-telecommunications areas can be found in this matter. is Both the consultation with environmental specialists and data from the legislative documents from this area are unavoidable parts of such study. The result of study is selection of the measure indicators of water quality, proposal of suitable sensors, measurement method and architecture of the wireless sensor network. This work is a part of international crossborder cooperation , with the aim to build a system for both monitoring the ecologic-biological state of the cross-border river and early warning in case of an ecological disaster.
In this paper, a multi-view e-learning system for supporting remote education is introduced. Since video is the most natural way to perceive information and of interaction between people, it also has inherent capabilities when using in education environment. The system, we propose, should encourage students more use the opportunities offered by remote learning to foster their training on the university. To enable multi-view video (MVV) streaming a system with three cameras is used. A central server is used to capture the partial streams and it also serves as the control unit to manage the whole system. The student will have the choice to decide which particular part of the captured scene he/she wants to watch. Another option will be a guided stream, where the streams are switched automatically, based on the area where the presentation is currently focused. We believe that this model might contribute to the educational process.
In this epoch, automation in different area of human life is obvious. Home automation or intelligent building is part of this phenomenon. Sensor networks are important parts of intelligent buildings or other rooms. Between more solutions of sensor network, 1 Wire® technology can be a good choice for home automation because of small requirements for wires, power supply, components dimensions and simple controlling. In this review article, the basic specifications and specialities of 1-Wire technology as well as some our experience with this type of sensor network are described.
Techniques for modeling and simulating channel conditions play an essentially role in understanding network protocol and application behavior. In this paper we will describe two ways of modeling communication channel. It will be method which uses information above real condition of environment in which the transmition take place and use them to compute channel model in contrast to methods based on empirical model of channel. Then information from real based simulation will be used to modify empirical model.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
