This research project aims to ease SME process control by using DMAIC (Lean Six Sigma). Three topics were applied: Lean Six Sigma, Data Mining, and Augmented Reality. All of this is assisted by the most advanced technology to date. SMEs have small processes and this is why Lean Six Sigma was applied to detect problems, measure, analyze and control. The Poka-Yoke to o l works as a link between Data Mining tools and Augmented Reality. The Data Mining tool is the deep learning neuronal net (with more than one hidden layer). The neuronal net will learn the gauges formula and will show results based on the measurements. This tool is related to Lean Six Sigma as the net will show optim a l results with controlled processes only. Augmented Reality eases data input for the gauges. Input data will be transmitted through AR cards which will be scanned by Smartphones. These AR cards become unique through the use of the Poka-Yoke toolThe expected savings are S/. 6120. The project obtains an NP V of S/. 7811 and a COK of 15.24% which is enough to demonstra te the viability of the project.
The current investigation is proposing the use of own tools of the Lean Six Sigma approach, precisely, the DMAIC methodology, in the critical processes of the production line of a white line appliances manufacturer company in Peru. For the company in study, the group of KPI's that measure the productivity, quality and efficiency of the processes and products were identified and, through the aforementioned methodologies, the critical KPI's for the processes were determined. Finally, improvements in the respective processes were proposed in order to increase the value of the selected indicators previously. These changes implied an economic saving and an increase in the product quality.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
