The present study demonstrates that activated neutrophils, as well as MCP-1, MIP-2, and ICAM-1, are involved in inflammatory response induced by ischaemia-reperfusion-induced lung injury.
The present results indicate that lung IR caused hepatic injury. Sevoflurane attenuated liver injury in a model of upper lobe left lung autotransplant in pigs.
In this model, LIRI induced the expression of MCP-1 and the proinflammatory proteins TNF-α and IL-1 in control lungs. IP significantly reduced the expression of these chemokines and cytokines. These features may explain the reduction of oxidative stress observed with IP.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
