Accounting educationalists have to collaborate with universities, industry and professional bodies to ensure that universities deliver graduates that have the necessary skill sets to enter their chosen profession and to this purpose, ongoing research on accounting education is required to keep universities up to date with the requirements. Although both the accounting industry and professional bodies conduct mainly in-house research on accounting, all stakeholders benefit from the existing opportunities for universities to collaborate with industry. This chapter aims to explore the possible opportunities for this collaboration. We used questionnaires (qualitative methodology) to obtain information from industry and professional accounting bodies on collaborative opportunities. The findings indicate that there are many opportunities for universities to collaborate with industry and professional bodies to promote accounting education.
