In Indonesia, forage is difficult to obtain in the dry season, while the agricultural waste very abundant and potentially pollute the environment. Use of agricultural waste as feed animal is very advantage to obtain cattle nutrients need and alleviate pollution. An experiment was conducted to evaluate the nutrient quality of fermented complete feed based on soybean straw (CFS), compared with forage (F) or forage and concentrate with 4:1 ratio (FC). Proximate analysis was conducted to three kind of feed, then nutrients digestibility were conducted by in-vitro analyzed. Each kind of feed consisted of 4 replicates. The results showed that CFS had higher ash and crude protein content and less crude fiber than FS and F. CFS had dry matter digestibility (DMD), organic matter digestibility (OMD) and total digestible nutrients (TDN) significantly (p< 0.05) higher than F but not significantly different with FC. There are not significantly different of NH3 production among the three kinds of feed. The conclusion was CFS had highest nutrient content. CFS and FC had digestible nutrient that higher than F. The quality of CFS can still be improved by adding N digestible for rumen microbe growth.Key words: complete feed, soybean straw, nutrient digestibility
Pangasius catfish are not able to synthesize amino acids in their bodies so that Pangasius catfish need a supply of amino acids such as lysine in their feed. This study aims to find out the effect of lysine addition in commercial feed towards the growth, protein content, and fatty acid of Pangasius catfish meat. Total doses of lysine added to the commercial feed are: P0 (0%), P1 (1.2%), P2 (2.2%), dan P3 (3.2%). The results showed that the addition of lysine essential amino acids in commercial feed showed a significantly different effect (P<0.05) on t h e specific growth rate, feed efficiency, feed conversion ratio, Saturated Fatty Acid (SFA), and Monounsaturated Fatty Acid (MUFA) of Pangasius catfish meat. On the other hand, Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid (PUFA) showed a very significant difference (P<0.01) with lysine addition dose of 3.2% and no significant effect (P>0.05) on SR. The results of this study showed that lysine addition dose of 1.2% could increase SGR, feed efficiency, and FCR, and lysine addition dose of 2.2% can increase the protein content of Pangasius catfish meat also lysine addition dose of 3.2% provides the best performance for fatty acids of Pangasius catfish meat.
Asian white shrimp or can be called vannamei shrimp has the Latin name Litopenaeus vannamei has native habitat in coastal waters and American sea waters. This research was carried out in September 2018 in the Asian white shrimp farming business unit Tanjung Putih Village Sepulu District Bangkalan District and in Penatar Sewu Village Tanggulangin District Sidoarjo Regency. This study population used 3 pond plots in Asian white shrimp culture in Tanjung Putih Village, Sepulu District, Bangkalan District and in Penatar Sewu Village Tanggulangin District Sidoarjo Regency. Sample size is determined from the amount of shrimp fry capacity stocked. The sampling technique was carried out by researchers by following activities in the field, census and visiting respondents directly on the farm or in the farmer's group home to obtain the information and data needed. The results showed that the best feed management was obtained the best results on the 4 sample ponds in Sidoarjo with an average final weight growth rate of 9.73 grams at the first partial harvest, 83% Feed Efficiency, and a 90% survival rate. As for the lowest feed management results obtained in sample ponds 1 Bangkalan with a yield of 6.98% growth, feed efficiency by 71% and survival rate of 86%. As for the results of the analysis of vannamei shrimp aquaculture business at different locations in Bangkalan and Sidoarjo districts, it was concluded that the best Production BEP was obtained in Sidoarjo's 4 sample ponds, amounting to 1427 kg. The best R / C ratio and Payback period is the average sample obtained in Sidoarjo. The conclusion of the best feed management and business analysis results is on the sidoajo sample ponds, the sidoarjo sample shows decent and efficient results.
Gouramy is known to it’s low appetite and slow growth. Attractants are ingredients that are mixed in small amounts of feed to increase feed intake, growth, and fish consumption of feed. Garlic contains at least 33 sulfur components that give a distinctive odor and various medicinal effects. Turmeric contains essential oils composed of monoterpenes and is an effective odor stimulating precursor compound used as an attractant. This study aims to determine the effect of giving turmeric and garlic extracts at different doses on feed consumption, feed efficiency and feed conversion ratio in gouramy. This study used an experimental method with 5 treatments; P0= control, P1=1% garlic extract addition, P2= 1.5% garlic extract addition, P3= 1% turmeric extract addition and P4= 1.5% turmeric extract additions with 4 replications using 10 fish in each.. The results showed that the highest feed consumption value was in the treatment of P1and P2, the lowest conversion ratio and the highest value of feed efficiency was found in the treatment of P2 and P3. So it can be concluded that the addition of 1.5% garlic extract or 1% turmeric extract is effective as an attractant and effective for increasing the growth of gouramy.
