Comparisons indicated a strong similarity between torus prevalence in Ghana and the Caribbean regions. This should help in further discussions on the epidemiology of this bony anomaly.
Sustained community preventive dental activity needs to be instituted in both rural and urban regions to prevent and control both caries and periodontal diseases and to prevent future increases in the caries rates as has been experienced in some developing countries.

Conclusion -Greater discussion between the various agencies involved should take place to help ensure consensus on the overall policy objectives.
