Schlüsselwörter: Pferd, Echokardiographie, Röntgendiagnostik, x-ray examination, Pathomorphologie Echocardiographic and radiographic imaging ot aortic root and aortic arch aneurysm in the horse Aneurysm of the aortic root and the aortic arch were demonstrated in two warm-blooded geldings (6 and 7 years old) by diagnostic ultrasound and radiology. In case one a severe dilatation of the aortic root and in case t/vo an abnormal position of the endopericardial part of the aortic root was detected with diagnostic ultrasound. In the second case radiology revealed an enlargement of the dilated aortic aneurysm. ln the first case an aneurysm verum spontaneum is probable.
