Hatchery waste is potential as an alternative feedstuff, because it has highly nutritional content. However, the hatchery waste was characterized by easily rotten, therefore, it was difficult to be stored. An addition of bentonite as an absorbent to the pelleting process was expected could overcome to weaknesses of hatchery waste. The study was conducted by a completely randomized design (CRD) by factorial pattern 2×3 with 3 replications of each combination. The treatments were addition of bentonites (0 and 3%) and period of storage (4, 8 and 12 weeks). The parameters observed were crude fat, crude protein, calcium and phosphorus pellet products. The result of experiment shows that there is no interaction effect (P>0.05) between bentonite addition and period of storage. Bentonite levels had no significant effects (P>0.05) but period of time had significant effect (P<0.05) on all parameters. On average, the value of each parameter is in the normal range. The chemical quality of the pellet decreased during storage shown by decreasing values. It was concluded that the addition of bentonite did not effectively prevent the quality of hatchery waste pellet during storage. Therefore, the hatchery waste pellets should be stored no longer than four weeks.
