The market values wood in volume (cubic meters or stereo) because of the difficulty in estimating timber products, and the producer, when selling standing timber, does not know how many pieces can benefit from his trees. To obtain this information, routines have been developed to estimate the amount of planks of lumber and lumber that a set of trees can provide. The development was in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and Python, for the most sold roundwood pieces on the market, and lumber pieces reported in the NBR. Three sawing methods were simulated for lumber. The adopted logic is the priority of the largest dimension in width and thickness, using dendrometric functions and trigonometric relations. The routines aim to facilitate the user to calculate the revenue of their wood according to the products that will be generated from a forest stand to be explored. Potential users are farmers and forest-planters, and eucalyptus lumber companies (sawmills) that sell, buy standing timber.
