The near U-V photolysis of t-butyl nitrite has been studied over the temperature range 303-393 K. Under these conditions t-butyl nitrite was shown to be a very clean photochemical source of t-butoxy radicals. This allows a study of the decomposition of the t-butoxy radical to be made over this temperature range (3).
Upon finding 2-(cu,c~,~,~-tetrafluorophenethyl)benzylamine (4) to be a potent and novel type of antiarrhythmic agent, the title compounds were synthesized. Structure-activity relationships in this series are described.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
