Metabolites of the Higher Fungi. Part 28. Globoscinic Acid and Globoscin, a Labile Acid-Lactone System from Xylaria globosa and Xylaria obovata. -Globoscinic acid (I) and globoscin (II) are isolated as mixtures of optically active epimers from the culture media of the title fungi. Their structure determination by chemical and physical methods and their labile properties are discussed. -(ADEBOYA, M.; EDWARDS, R. L.; LAESSOEE, T.; MAITLAND, D. J.; WHALLEY, A. S.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
