Presence is an important thing in educational world especially higher education. One of students’ success keys is in their presence because it has correlation to the learning quantity carried out by a college student. Some colleges whose learning conducted face to face still use conventional way by using attendant list sheet until this system is felt less effective in the middle of digitalization development marked by the increase of technology usage. Face recognition attendance technology is a technology which can be adapted from one of artificial intelligence science namely machine learning. Machine learning with deep learning branch becomes the solution which eases human’s work. In its process, face recognition requires certain accurate face detection with certain algorithm. In this research, the method used was You Only Look Once (YOLO) algorithm where to follow some research which had been conducted previously it has high accuracy in face prediction. The test results obtained an average accuracy of 0.9793 by paying attention to parameters such as lighting and real-time sending to the website. Through this research, it is hoped that the attendance process will be more effective and can be monitored by lecturers.
Terdapat beberapa permasalahan jika suatu lembaga menerbitkan surat resmi secara konvensional. Diantaranya penggunaan tanda tangan dan stempel yang mudah dipalsukan, dan sistem konvensional yang dinilai tidak efisien dari segi waktu dan biaya. SMK Bina Jaya Palembang merupakan suatu lembaga pendidikan di Kota Palembang yang dalam aktivitasnya sehari-hari tidak terlepas dari kegiatan surat menyurat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mensosialisasikan penggunaan aplikasi surat digital yang dapat membantu meningkatkan efisiensi kegiatan surat menyurat dan mencegah pemalsuan. Kegiatan dilakukan dalam bentuk sosialisasi aplikasi surat digital yang merupakan hasil penelitian kerja sama dosen dan mahasiswa Jurusan Teknik Elektro Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya. Tahapan kegiatan dimulai dari tahap persiapan, survey awal, pelaksanaan pengabdian dan tahap pelaporan. Dari kegiatan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa peserta kegiatan dapat memahami pentingnya penggunaan aplikasi surat digital dan dapat memahami prosedur penggunaan aplikasi ini.
ABSTRAK Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi semakin pesat, sebagai agen perubahan mahasiswa dituntut untuk merespon perkembangan teknologi masyarakat. Pelatihan mikrokontroler arduino adalah solusi yang tepat sehingga dengan pelatihan ini dapat memperbarui keterampilan seseorang sebanding dengan transformasi teknologi. Target dari pelatihan ini adalah mengenalkan mikrokontroler Arduino kepada para siswa SMA Negeri 3 Palembang. Tujuan khusus yang ingin dicapai, yaitu meningkatnya kreativitas para siswa dalam pembuatan proyek-proyek berbasis Arduino. Pada pelatihan ini, digunakan 3 metode yaitu beregu, perancangan, dan demonstrasi. Dengan menggunakan ketiga metode tersebut, para siswa sangat antusias mengikuti pelatihan dan ingin mempelajari lebih lanjut. Diharapkan adanya keberlanjutan program pelatihan Arduino guna meningkatkan kreativitas mahasiswa dalam bidang elektronika. Training in Arduino microcontrollers is the ideal solution for keeping one's skills current with technological advancements. This training's objective is to introduce the Arduino microcontroller to the SMA Negeri 3 Palembang pupils. Boosting inventiveness of students when creating Arduino-based projects is the specific objective to be met. Teams, design, and demonstration were the three techniques employed in this training. The students are very excited to participate in the session and want to learn more due to these three techniques. Malaysia is amongst the biggest palm oil manufacturer and exporter in the world associated with the high discharge of effluents. Membrane bioreactor (MBR) can be employed to treat the palm oil mill effluent (POME). However, data on MBR in treating POME is quite limited and could vary across different reported works. Thus, this study aims to provide some latest updates on the MBR technology in treating the POME. Based on the evaluation, separation of POME by using MBR can produce a good quality of effluent compared to conventional POME treatment. Mixed liquor suspended solids removal for a retention time of 11 days can be improved from 57.3% to 94.5 % using the MBR. According to analyses, when the MBR operating temperature falls into thermophilic region, the separation efficiency will start to decrease. Optimization of the MBR performance based on the operating temperature could be suggested in enhancing the overall MBR performance in treating POME.
