S. Naval Acadany freshwin classes w e r e examined. 1975-1981, who w e r e subsequently designated as naval aviators,were studied. Using their f l i g h t hours and mishaps accumulated during the f i r s t two t o f i v e years of their flying careers, amishap r a t e was calculated for low an3 high groups on each personal dimension.Scores of over 1700 graduates f r a n the classes of Scores w e r e placed i n t o ten stens within each dimension (e.g., reserved-outgoing) based on the standardization sampling of a l l U. S. college undergraduates.
