Purpose of study: This study examined the usefulness of job characteristics as a technique designed to enhance the effect of proactive behavior and innovate work behavior. Methodology: A field study was conducted with a randomly selected sample of company 145 supervisors of Sharia Bank at West Java Indonesia. This research was used as a quantitative approach to analyze and answer all research questions. And then, hypotheses for direct and moderator effects are tested using hierarchical regression analysis with SPSS as an analysis tool. Result: Results presented that there is a relation between proactive behavior and innovative work behavior. Furthermore, jobs characteristic strengthens the relationship between proactive behavior and innovative work behavior in Sharia Bank. Implications: The strategy of job design utilization with job characteristics can trigger people’s innovation behavior who already have self-initiative and this strategy will succeed in Islamic banks that have employees with high initiative. Novelty/originality: The novelty of this study is the use of job characteristics in strengthening the relationship between proactive behavior and IWB which is very rarely done in banking, especially in Sharia Banking.
Excellent marketing is always oriented to the needs and desires of consumers, and consumer orientation is inseparable from a market orientation that the company must develop. This study aims to analyze the relationship between market orientation and customer loyalty with innovation capability as a mediator and learning orientation as a moderator in the relationship between innovation capability and customer loyalty. Data were collected using a cross-sectional survey among 95 online shop owners. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using Hayes' PROCESS macro-based hierarchical regression. The results revealed that market orientation had a positive effect on innovation capability. Innovation capability mediated the correlation between market orientation and customer loyalty. Furthermore, learning orientation reinforces the correlation between innovation capability and customer loyalty. These findings contribute to understanding the effect of innovation capability and learning orientation on market orientation and online shop customer loyalty.
Terlepas dari fakta banyak karyawan dalam dunia industri modern bekerja dalam pengaturan kantor, para peneliti perilaku organisasi hingga saat ini telah lambat untuk mengenali betapa pentingnya untuk mempelajari efek dari lingkungan kerja pada pekerja kantor. Akibatnya, kita belum membentuk pemahaman yang jelas tentang hubungan antara lingkungan tempat kerja dan perilaku dan hasil kerja pekerja kantor. Dalam esai ini, kami berusaha untuk membuka beberapa masalah yang luas tentang lingkungan kerja fisik dan non fisik yang, pada gilirannya, membentuk perilaku dan sikap pekerja kantor.
One of the goals of college is to educate students to have the ability to survive and advance in every development of the times. And among the skills that students must have is language mastery. Therefore, students need to have high academic engagement and support from the environment in which they study. This study aims to test the relationship of academic engagement to the achievement of Arabic learning achievement and test the effect of moderation of lecturer competence and social support on the relationship. Survey data was collected from 391 students of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, which was further analyzed using hierarchical regression. The results showed that academic engagement statistically positively affects the achievement of learning Arabic. Furthermore, lecturer competence and social support can strengthen academic engagement relationships and achievements in learning Arabic at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung.
In today’s organizational environment, human resources are seen to be one of the most crucial assets that must be maintained, particularly the existence of employees’ proactive behavior, which is needed for the sustainability of organizational performance. One factor, which may affect the employees’ proactive behavior, is organizational politics. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to investigate the effect of organizational politics on proactive behavior of government employees and to test further whether this effect was moderated by self-efficacy. This study used a quantitative approach with an exploratory method to answer the proposed hypothesis. The samples were 310 local government employees in Bandung district, Cimahi City, Bandung City, and West Bandung Regency, Indonesia. For processing the data and testing the hypotheses, this research employed Moderated Regression Analysis by using STATA 13. The results showed that organizational politics has a negative effect on the proactive behavior of government employees, and the moderation effect of self-efficacy can weaken the negative relationship between organizational politics and proactive behavior. The study, therefore, makes a valuable contribution regarding the additional evidence to the organization within this field.
