Halogen compounds Q 0090Preparation of 1,1'-Oxy-bis(3,3-bis(trifluoromethyl)-3(1H)-1,2-benziodoxole) and 2-(N-(p-Toluenesulfonyl)imino)iodobenzylmethyl Ether. -Reaction conditions for the preparation of the hitherto poorly described hypervalent iodine reagents (II) and (VIII) are optimized. Both reagents are characterized by X-ray analysis and applied to the synthesis of the cyclic sulfate (XI) and sulfamidate (X), respectively. Unfortunately, the latter reaction comes along with a significant N/O exchange leading to poor yields of the target compound. -(BLAKE, A. J.; NOVAK, A.; DAVIES, M.; ROBINSON, R.
