Video concept detection means describing a video with semantic concepts that correspond to the content of the video. The concepts help to retrieve video quickly. These semantic concepts describe high-level elements that depict the key information present in the content. In recent years, many efforts have been done to automate this task because the manual solution is time-consuming. Nowadays, videos come with comments. Therefore, in addition to the content of the videos, the comments should be analyzed because they contain valuable data that help to retrieve videos. This paper focused especially on videos shared on social media. The specificity of these videos was the presence of massive comments. This paper attempted to exploit comments by extracting concepts from them. This would support the research effort that works only on the visual content. Natural language processing techniques were used to analyze comments and to filter words to retain only the ones that could be considered as concepts. The proposed approach was tested on YouTube videos. The results demonstrated that the proposed approach was able to extract accurate data and concepts from the comments that could be used to ease the retrieval of videos. The findings supported the research effort of working on the visual and audio contents of the videos.
This study was conducted to assess the influence of three calcium supplements on rabbit does maternal behaviour and productive performance. Twenty adult New Zealand white female rabbits 4-5 months of age were classified into four groups (A, B, C and D) according to the dose of calcium (control, 2.5, 5 and 10 g) added daily to the feeders and each group contains five females. Among four calcium supplementation groups, addition of 10 g calcium carbonate decrease the mean frequency of feeding, the mean does milk production (kg) and means of kits body weight (g) at birth, 21 days and 30 days of age but, increase the means of drinking frequency and duration (min). The higher significant (P ≤ 0.05) frequency of nursing behaviour was recorded in group B (2.5 g calcium). On the other hand, means of nursing duration (min.), mean body weight of the does (at kindling and at weaning of their litters), the mean litter size (at birth, born alive, still born, at days 21, 30 of age), the total pre-weaning mortality of kits and means of prolactin hormone level (ng/ml) did not significantly (P ≤ 0.05) different. In light of these results, we could conclude that calcium supplementations have a direct negative effect on ingestive behaviour, nursing behaviour and also, some productive traits of rabbit does.
Ten Arabian foals aged 3-8 months, at private farm in Sharkia Province were used in this study, which continued from 1 st of December 2003 till the end of June 2004. The foals were divided into two equal groups of five foals each. The animals in the first group were weaned at 3 months of age while, those in the second group were weaned normally at 5 months of age. The first group foals spent less time in eating (43.32±5.22 vs 45.52±6.22% of their time), in standing rest and lying than the second group foals, but spent more time in standing alert (4.55±1.32 vs 4.12±1.53% of their time). The foals of first group had a lower body weight gain during the period of study than that normally weaned foals. The foals which weaned early at 3 months had engaged in stereotypies behaviour such as steps, head threat, bite threat, bite, kick threat and kick more than that foals which were weaned normally at 5 months, there was a significant difference in the level of cortisol hormone post-weaning between early weaned foals and normally weaned foals. In conclusion weaning of foals at 5 months of age was less stressful, more comfort and achieve good welfare for foals than early weaning.
This study was conducted to compare between three nest box designs and their influence on rabbit does maternal behaviour and production, fifteen adult White New Zealand female rabbits were classified into three groups according to nest box design (A, B and C) and each group contains five females. Among 3 nest box designs, the mean frequency of nursing events increased significantly (P ≤ 0.05) in group C nest box and flash movement duration (sec.) increased significantly (P ≤ 0.01) in group B nest box. The mean body weight (g) of kits at 30 days of age decreased significantly (P ≤ 0.01) in group A nest box. There was no significant difference between the three nest box designs in rabbit does nest quality traits scores before and after parturition and means of prolactin hormone level (ng/ml) at birth and 21 days of age. In light of these results, we could summarize that large or fully opened nest box had a positive effect on nursing events durations (min.), flash movement duration (sec.) and mean body weight (g) of kits at 30 days of age. However, such conditions do not affect other recorded parameters.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
