Business development is dependent on a well-structured human resources (HR) system that maximizes the efficiency of an organization’s human resources input and output. It is tough to provide adequate instructions for HR’s unique task. In a time when the domestic labor market is still maturing, it is difficult for companies to make successful adjustments in HR structures to meet fluctuations in demand for human resources caused by shifting corporate strategies, operations, and size. Data on corporate human resources are often insufficient or inaccurate, which creates substantial nonlinearity and uncertainty when attempting to predict staffing needs, since human resource demand is influenced by numerous variables. The aim of this research is to predict the human resource demand using novel methods. Recurrent neural networks (RNNs) and grey wolf optimization (GWO) are used in this study to develop a new quantitative forecasting method for HR demand prediction. Initially, we collect the dataset and preprocess using normalization. The features are extracted using principal component analysis (PCA) and the proposed RNN with GWO effectively predicts the needs of HR. Moreover, organizations may be able to estimate personnel demand based on current circumstances, making forecasting more relevant and adaptive and enabling enterprises to accomplish their objectives via efficient human resource planning.
This research has focused on Nike and its strategies that are helping the organization to influence buying behavior of its consumers. For this purpose, this research has collected data from two credible websites. After collecting data from these two websites, it was found that Nike’s activities to influence buying behavior of its consumers completely depends on things such as new product development, customer engagement, and marketing. By collecting information from customers, such as their needs and expectations, the organization is developing attractive new products. On the other hand, through Nike+ website and by remaining active on social media sites, Nike is continuously communicating with its customers and is developing a positive relationship with them. Besides, through collaboration with third party companies such as Google, Nike is creating exciting ads that are alluring consumers towards the brand. Besides, by creating different social media pages for different brands, Nike is ensuring that it is connecting with consumers with different interests. Besides, Nike has continuously improved its products by collaborating with athletes and by introducing new technologies. These are the factors which are ensuring that consumers remain loyal to the organization to continuously buy from the organization.
IntroductionIn 2005 Elizabeth Parker and fellow researchers described the first case of Hyperthymestic Syndrome, a woman going by initials AJ. Thereafter, a handful more of such cases have emerged. Older descriptions of extraordinary memory in medical literature mainly considered semantic and working memories. Jorge Luis Borges in his 1930s short story ‘Funes, his Memory’ writes about his, presumably fictitious, encounter with a man named Ireno Funes who possessed an extraordinary memory and a knack for keeping track of briefest of passing moment. Among many qualities that Funes and AJ share are their extraordinary memories, obsession for keeping track of time, and their problems with abstraction. After describing his extraordinary memory, Borges says of Funes, ‘I suspect nevertheless, that he was not very good at thinking. To think is to ignore (or forget) differences, to generalize, to abstract.’ Similarly, AJ has been described to have impaired abstraction, hypothesis formation and conceptual shifting. Moreover, both Funes and AJ see their capability as a burden rather than a gift. “My memory, sir, is like a garbage heap.” Says Funes.ObjectivesA brief exploration of Jorge Luis Borges’ works in the context of autobiographical memory.MethodsThe comparisons between Borges’ description of his character’s autobiographical memory and findings of modern research techniques will be done qualitatively.ResultsEffort is made to undersatnd Borges philosophy in context of mordern memory research.ConclusionsAn in depth look into Borges’ philosohies linking perception of time, coding of memory, abstration and language can inform further line of research regarding autobiographical memory.DisclosureNo significant relationships.
The purpose of this research work was to find out how the HRM department of an organization contributes to employee retention in an organization. For this purpose, in this research, Wal-Mart is selected and secondary data was collected. From the secondary data, it was found that Wal-Mart’s HRM department has implemented several incentives and benefits for all the employees working for this organization. These incentives and benefits implemented by the HRM department of Wal-Mart are helping the organization to motivate its employees. This employee motivation is helping the organization to retain its existing employees. Therefore, from this research, it is found that the HRM department of an organization triggers employee motivation and that motivation encourages them to remain in the organization for a longer amount of time.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
