The inventory control game is a computer game that is developed for enhancing the comprehension and the skills of those who are learning or working in fields related to inventory control through simulated scenarios. The contents are divided into learning units of specific issues for the purpose of a clear-cut understanding, starting from basic to difficult and more complicated situations. Each learning unit has a built in sample scenario that is ready for players to practice on. It is also possible to add more scenarios to the game. To play the game, players have to study the details and the condition of the situation in each elapsed period in order to decide whether to place an order and how much to order that period to satisfy the demands of the following periods with the least cost. Players may assess the play performance in any advanced period in order to adjust to improve the play. The available performance measures are average inventory, the number of orders, the number of shortages and the total inventory cost. They may also compare the results with the computer, which plays the game with theoretical approach, or with other players who use different approaches. The game was tested on the target group. It was found that this game helps improve the inventory control skill of the players and simulate player to apply theories to improve their plays. They also agreed that the game was realistic enough to make it possible for them to apply the knowledge and the skill acquired from playing the game to real situations.
