Impregnation of SiO2.AI203 (24.3% AI203) with 6% B203 increases the activity of supported Re207 in the ethenolysis of methyl oleate, but reduces the activity of CH3ReO 3 on the same support. Re2OT/SiO2.AI203/B203-SnBu 4 is shown to be an effective catalyst for the ethenolysis of methyl linoleate and of the methyl esters of olive oil, and can be recycled after calcination at least five times without loss of activity. scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
