This paper shows a comparative analysis of theoretical model for biogas estimations in landfill sites in order to determine reliability, accuracy and efficiency by comparing results with actual data obtained in-situ. The model from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Mexican model were selected to estimate biogas generation in a landfill site located in the State of Mexico, Mexico with 36 wells. Both models are based on a first order equation for degradation of organic matter assuming that the biogas generation reaches its maximum after a period of time and then biogas generation decreases exponentially while the organic fraction of waste is consumed. Measurement in-situ, using a landfill gas analyser (GA5000) /hr from Mexican model. The experiment evidenced significant variations in estimations versus actual measurements. Authors discuss the aspects and parameters that cause such variations in order to provide a comprehensive analysis which will help decision makers to base waste management strategies in Mexico on reliable data.,
The World Bank and the National Development Plan for Mexico 2013-2018 indicate that Information and Communication Technology skills in education should be encouraged to generate higher income. A logistic regression model with data of 1182 students was carried out. The variables are: endogenous (scholarship) and exogenous variables: (semester and computer tools). The results found indicate that the use of Haiku Deck software and participation in social networks increase the probability of obtaining a scholarship. It is concluded that that use of multimedia software in the universities must be promoted and teachers should be trained to encourage greater use of social networks in education.
This article addresses the environmental impact in an enterprise of the agricultural sector through the analysis of the life cycle of the nopal brine elaboration, where the identified impact categories were identified for their evaluation as well as the opportunities for improvement. The methodology used followed a cradle to gate approach, from the nopal vegetable growing area in Milpa Alta, Mexico City, to the processing stage in the company; the functional unit was a ton of nopal in brine and the software used was SimaPro V8.5.2.
The present investigation touches a fundamental topic in the economic activity of the nations that are members of the T-MEC, the unemployment that people face, whether it is the incorporation to the labour activity or people that for different reasons lost their job, being considered the economically population the individuals that are in working age and are apt for a job. In the United States (US), an economically powerful nation in which international migration participates, this circumstance has an impact on full employment, considering a limited margin of unemployment in US society. This article analyses the causes of unemployment and the impact of employment on the pandemic crisis in the T-MEC nations. Starting from the conceptual framework of unemployment behaviour.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
