The paper presents the development of special information systems for the modern business environment by including new functions and modules developed based on last generation technical means. The research results are of great value especially for SMEs, which have the capability of best adapting to such an evolution of the information system, and, by their particularities, are the most motivated in approaching such an improvement strategy of their own information system. The research proved the possibility to develop a completely new integrated information system, at the highest technological level, aiming to completely support all the information processing in a SME.
The paper presents a method for assessing information systems designed for the modern business environment. Unlike systems audit or established methods of software testing, the evaluation of systems for business can be made by implementing and using them in a virtual, digital factory. This, in addition to effective verification and validation of the software, can be used to evaluate how computer applications adapt to the complete information processing flows corresponding to the core processes of a real enterprise. In this way full results of good quality can be achieved at a low cost of the evaluation process.
The paper presents a validation method of the information systems conceived for the business environment. Unlike the audit of the accounting information systems or of the established testing methods of the software, we suggest that for testing and validation of the information systems, they should be implemented and used through enterprise exercise. Through this, besides the actual check of the software we also evaluate the way in which the software applications adapt to the full running of a processing flow of the information, corresponding to some basic functions of the enterprise. In such way we obtain complete and good quality results, at low costs of the evaluation process.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
