This study analyzes the employee experiences of pleasure and suffering at work. It was carried out with an administrative staff of an organization of civil construction material in Distrito Federal. The article considers, at first, a historical frame of the studies of pleasure and suffering at work in order to contextualize the research. The study consisted in performing interviews with four employees part of the ad ministrative staff of the mentioned organization. It uses a qualitative methodology for both the data acquisition and the data analysis. In order to collect enough data to perform the study, a semi-structured interview was used which was then taped and further transcribed. To analyze the data we submitted then to a content thematic categorical analysis. The results pointed to a prevail of suffering at work, due to the relationship with the bosses, working hours, overload and the need of enjoying the job. On the final considerations, it is discussed the implications of a stressful work as far as the emp loyee's well being and productivity is concerned.
-The present study aims to identify the relationship between quality of work life and general self-efficacy beliefs in the Military Police of the Federal District. The research is set up as a case study, with correlational design and quantitative approach. We used the Inventory of Assessment of Quality Work Life and General Self-Efficacy Scale. The participants were 1027 police officers, including 895 men and 114 women, with an average time of 16 years of service. The results showed that there are no strong significant correlations between QWL and self-efficacy. It follows that it cannot promote QVT focusing only on the individual, because even the participants realizing effective self, did not result in a positive perception of QWL.

Resumo A despeito de considerar a divisão sexual do trabalho como um problema, a psicodinâmica do trabalho ainda não investiga, de maneira aprofundada, as diferenças de gênero no trabalho. Este estudo objetivou realizar uma revisão sistemática dos estudos sobre a psicodinâmica do trabalho feminino nas principais bases de dados nacionais e internacionais, nos idiomas inglês, português, francês e espanhol. Os resultados evidenciaram que, do total de 236 artigos selecionados para revisão, apenas 29 tratam do trabalho feminino. Conclui-se que as especificidades de gênero devem ser consideradas em profundidade no campo da psicodinâmica do trabalho.
