The article presents a possibility of how to realise the didactical principle "learning through research" based on the grounded theory. After introducing basic principles of this approach, the concrete realisation of the learning and researching process with the stages of open, axial and selective coding as well as the accompanying writing of memos will be explained. The result of the process is a grounded theory of the examined phenomena. The explanations will be supplemented with didactical experiences and remarks. A practical example illustrates the approach. Didactical reflections on the evaluation of the students' achievement as well as possibilities and restrictions of the approach will be discussed at the end of the article.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
